Hey friends 👋

Welcome to another edition of the Daily Preneur. In today’s newsletter, I’m sharing five bullets about what I’m reading, creating, and doing.

Enjoy 😄

Fighting Entropy by Jack Raines

In a recent piece, fellow New Yorker and writer, Jack Raines, took his readers on a personal journey through how he became the protagonist in his life story. It’s a beautiful narrative with some unexpected twists and turns.

This piece reminded me that we can’t outrun three certainties in life: pain, uncertainty, and constant work. If you enjoy my writing, you’ll enjoy Jack’s work too.

The BEST Overnight Protein Oats

As you may or may not have picked up, I’m obsessed with health and fitness. I frequently use myself as a guinea pig, trying to tease out how to gain an edge and live more intentionally. Through this process, I’ve tested and tinkered with many high-protein recipes.

One recipe that has stood the test of time is my overnight protein oats. It’s filled with high-quality protein, healthy fats, and delicious chocolate chips. And it comes at a calorie bargain, only 595 calories per serving!

Booty, Arms, & Abs 🍑

Three years ago, I launched Noah Cracknell Performance Coaching. It was my mission then, and still, today, to help people live and lead happier and healthier lives.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of coaching was the day-to-day interactions with my clients. Writing workouts on the board, sharing them, and hopefully being a light in people’s lives is something I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.

Now that I no longer run a gym, I’m searching for ways to connect with people and add value to their lives. It occurred to me that even though I’m not coaching in person anymore, I can still write workouts and share them with the world. The Notion webpage below is exactly that.

If you've ever trained with me, you'd know that I specialize in high-energy classes geared toward aesthetics and longevity. I'll add training sessions that mimic "Bootcamp" classes every week. If you try one out, send me a message, I'd love to hear how it went ❤️

It Takes a Village by Jacob Biesterfeld

During my freshman year in college, I played baseball at the University of Portland. It was an unforgettable experience. I met lifelong friends, learned lessons that will serve me for the rest of my life, and overcame some adversity too.

But the adversity I overcame pales in comparison to what my former teammate and now pitcher at the University of Nevada, Jacob Biesterfeld, has overcome. He can tell his story better than I, so I'll leave you with a quote from his recent piece and encourage you to read his work and subscribe to his blog.

“I’ve spent the past year thinking about the illusion we have of time. I remember being a Freshman and thinking about how old some of the Seniors on the team looked; how I had so much time to grow as a person and player. In reality, we never have enough time.

The silver lining is by knowing time is precious, we’re given the urgency to live, love, and achieve now, as Tyson said. Your awareness becomes heightened when you view life through this lens. You begin to truly value the monotonous routine of practice, the butterflies before your first game, and the weights sessions at 6 am because you come to appreciate that these things are finite.”

And to Jacob, if you’re reading this, keep going. I love you, brother, and am inspired by your dedication to your sport and the act of creating.

2000s Throwback Playlist

I’m the guy to queue up some old Jason Derulo, Jay Sean, Kelly Clarkson, Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, or Justin Timberlake tunes. They just light up the room. Every person my age (23) can relate to loving 2000s and 2010s hip hop and pop music. Nowadays, it just isn’t the same, though.

To bring "sexy back," as Justin Timberlake says, I'm sharing my Throwbacks playlist on Apple Music. If you're a Spotify listener, kick rocks.

Listen to it here.

Enjoying the writing?

That’s it for today, folks! See you on Thursday ❤️

Cheers,

Noah
